Edith Allonby (December 1, 1875 – September 5, 1905) was an English writer and teacher. Born in Cark, she studied at Whitelands College. She wrote three novels, with the first two set on a fictional planet named 'Lucifram'.

Allonby was a teacher at St. Anne's National School and wrote the novels 'Jewell Sowers' (1903), 'Marigold' (1905), and 'The Fulfillment' (1905). Her works were published anonymously and are characterized by a light and entertaining style, although her last work was published posthumously after her suicide.

Frustrated by the lack of attention to her works and editorial revision demands, Allonby died by suicide at the age of 29. Her suicide note was widely published, and she left money to her students and sisters in her will.
