Jean-Pierre Adams (March 10, 1948 – September 6, 2021) was a French professional footballer who played as a centre-back. He was capped 22 times for France in the 1970s and played Division 1 football for Nîmes, Nice, and Paris Saint-Germain. From March 1982 until his death in September 2021, he was in a coma due to mistakes made during a hospital operation.
Achievements
Adams began his football career with Entente BFN in 1967 and later joined Nîmes in 1970, helping the team achieve a second-place finish in the league in the 1971-72 season. He also found success at Nice, scoring nine goals in the 1973-74 season. Internationally, he was part of the French national team and formed part of the defense known as 'La garde noire'.
