Georgie Abrams (November 11, 1918 – June 30, 1994) was an American boxer who came very close to winning the World Middleweight Championship in November 1941 against Tony Zale and was a top contender for the title in the early 1940s.
Achievements
Abrams had a notable boxing career, winning the Washington, D.C. AAU Welterweight Title and a Golden Gloves championship in Chicago in 1937. He fought eight world champions and was inducted into the World Boxing Hall of Fame in 2005.
